自然のリズムに寄り添い、新月には音楽を、満月には映像と物語を。
総合アートプロジェクト『Map of Time』を通して、音・映像・言葉を重ねた世界を紡ぎ出しています。

 

音楽では、ギター、ボーカル、音叉、シンセ、自然音、

そしてポケットサイズのシンセサイザー「OP-1」を使い、“一人オーケストラ”としてのサウンドを構築。


ループやエフェクトを自在に操りながら、フィールドレコーディングや即興を取り入れた、詩的で物語性のあるサウンドスケープを展開しています。

 

音のひと粒が、風のように吹き抜け、光のように揺らめき、誰かの記憶に触れるような──
そんな、静けさと深さを湛えた音楽を目指しています。

 

略歴

  • 中学2年：ギターと出会い3ヶ月で路上ライブ。ホームレスの男性にブルースを教わる

  • 20歳：徒歩で日本一周

  • 24歳：介護施設の施設長を務め、音楽活動を一時休止

  • 2018年〜：音楽活動を再開。アルバム8枚・55曲を自主制作

  • 2020年：NAGOYA CLUB QUATTROでソロライブ（SOLD OUT）

  • 2021年：EP『way to living』リリース

  • 2022年：ダイアモンドホールでレコ発ワンマンライブ開催

  • 2023年：『SAMURAI GUITARIST』リリース。ロンドン＆リトアニアでフェス・ライブ出演。現地ミュージシャンと楽曲制作

  • 2024年：アーティスト名を「国頭太一 Kunigami Taichi」に改名。新月満月プロジェクト開始

  • 2025年：『Map of Time』シリーズを展開中。音楽・映像・物語を融合させた総合アート作品として発表中

Taichi Kunigami
Musician / Composer / Storyteller

Taichi Kunigami is a Japanese musician and composer who creates narrative-driven works that blend music, film, and storytelling. Rooted in the rhythms of nature, he releases a new music album on every new moon, and a short film inspired by it on each full moon — as part of his year-long, multidisciplinary art project: Map of Time.

Using guitar, voice, tuning forks, synthesizers, field recordings, and the compact OP-1 synthesizer, Kunigami creates immersive “one-man orchestra” performances. His soundscapes blend improvisation with nature's voices — flowing like wind, shimmering like light, and stirring silent memories.

His artistic goal is simple yet profound:
“To craft music that reconnects the human heart with nature, through the quiet power of story and sound.”

Selected Biography

  • Age 14: Discovered the guitar. Three months later, performed on the streets, learning blues from a homeless man.

  • Age 20: Walked across Japan on foot.

  • Age 24: Became director of a care facility; paused musical activities.

  • 2018–: Returned to music. Independently produced 8 albums and 55 original songs.

  • 2020: Sold-out solo show at NAGOYA CLUB QUATTRO.

  • 2021: Released 1st EP “way to living”.

  • 2022: Headlined a release concert at Diamond Hall in Nagoya.

  • 2023: Released instrumental EP “SAMURAI GUITARIST” recorded in London & Japan.
        Held a sold-out release concert in Tokyo, followed by performances in Lithuania and London.
        Collaborated with local musicians overseas.

  • 2024: Adopted the name Taichi Kunigami. Launched the New Moon & Full Moon release cycle.

  • 2025: Currently developing the Map of Time series — a collection of music albums and narrative short films that will ultimately form a full-length story-driven film.
